The Science Behind the Solver
Most Wordle solvers just pick common words. Mine is different. I built a Hybrid Entropy Engine that combines two powerful fields of mathematics to guarantee the fastest solve time:
01. Information Theory
Based on Claude Shannon's work, the solver calculates the "Bits of Information" for every potential guess. It knows which words will mathematically eliminate the most possibilities, even if they aren't the answer themselves.
02. Frequency Analysis
Using a database of 5-letter English words, we weigh standard letter frequencies to break ties. This ensures the solver prefers "SABLE" over "XYLYL" when both offer similar information.
How Wordle Solver Works
Enter Your Guess & Results
Type in the word you guessed in Wordle and click on each letter to mark it green (correct position), yellow (wrong position), or gray (not in the word). Our solver instantly understands the feedback pattern and begins calculating the optimal next move.
Engine Calculates Entropy
The Hybrid Entropy Engine evaluates every remaining possible word against every possible outcome pattern. For each candidate word, it calculates exactly how many bits of information that guess would reveal on average. A guess that splits the remaining possibilities in half gives you 1 bit; one that narrows it to a quarter gives you 2 bits. Our engine finds the guess that maximizes this information gain.
Ranked Suggestions
You receive a ranked list of the best next guesses, sorted by their expected information gain. Each suggestion shows its entropy score and whether it's a possible answer. Words that could be the answer AND provide high information gain are highlighted — these are your best bets for solving in fewer guesses.
Solve in 3-4 Guesses
By following the solver's recommendations, the average puzzle is solved in just 3.3 guesses — well within the 6-guess limit. Even the hardest puzzles with rare letters like J, X, or Z are solvable within 5 guesses. Our 100% solve rate means no Wordle puzzle can stump this engine.
